CEO Mozilla Step Down after Gay Marriage Controversy

The Former CEO of Mozilla Brendan Eich has step down from his post after the Controversy, he reportedly support the Anti-Gay Marriage Bill in 2008 California. The Board Chairman of Mozilla Mitchell Baker announced his resignation on Thursday.

Baker said that “Brendan Eich has chosen to step down from his role as CEO. He’s made this decision for Mozilla and our community.”

On the other hand Eich who was appointed as CEO of Mozilla just two weeks ago stated in his statement that,

“I have decided to resign as CEO effective today, and leave Mozilla. Our mission is bigger than any one of us, and under the present circumstances, I cannot be an effective leader. I will be taking time before I decide what to do next.”

Eich is of the view that everyone has different opinion and beliefs in our free community. Eich has invented JavaScript and helped Mozilla to gain that reputation that it has today.
